How To Put A Membership on Hold

With this new feature update, you no longer have to remove/add memberships to those members looking to be placed on a temporary hold. From the feedback we've received from all the gyms on FitHive we've added a lot of capabilities to this function. Here is how it works and how you can use it.

Place Current Member On Hold (Now & In The Future)

From your admin dashboard go to People (CRM) >> Select Member >> Memberships >> Change Membership >> Hold Settings (Select Option Yes, Put on hold right now)

From your admin dashboard go to People (CRM) >> Select Member >> Memberships >> Change Membership >> Hold Settings (Select Option In Future (automatic))

Remove Hold

There are two ways to remove a hold on a member. You can go in and manually remove the hold when needed, or set it to automatically come off hold on a date. Here is how to do both options.

From your admin dashboard go to People (CRM) >> Select Member >> Memberships >> Select Change Membership or Reactivate Membership >> Select NO on Put Membership on hold? under Hold Settings

If you do know when the hold will be removed, you set this up while you're adding the new membership or putting them on hold for an active membership. From your admin dashboard go to People (CRM) >> Select Member >> Memberships >> Select Change Membership  (for current membership) or Add New Membership for a new member starting on a hold. (Use case for this option is if they are starting a class or challenge at a future date but have already paid for the membership) >> Choose the "When hold is removed" option (Resume with remaining days or Immediately renew/expire (no remaining days))

View On Hold Members

There are a few ways to see who is on hold. Let's go over the different options.

From your member list, you will see a pause symbol under the member column. People (CRM) >> View Everyone

You can also view only on hold members from your CRM view Sort/Filter >> Membership Status >> Any On Hold

From your admin dashboard go to Membership >> Manage Memberships >> Viewing: On Hold Memberships You can also sort that view by Longest On Hold, User Name, Email, Membership Type

The nightly report that is sent out will also be updated with new On Hold Numbers. Total Taken Off Hold, Total Future Holds Moved to On Hold, Total Unplanned Put On Hold
