To begin the process of migrating from another payment platform over to Stripe, you will want to reach out to Stripe Support via their support chat to initiate the process on their end. From there, they'll follow up with specific instructions via email to help get your customers' payment information safely & securely transferred over.
*Please note, consistent check-ins throughout the migration with both parties will greatly shorten your wait time for completion.
First, log into your Stripe account. From the homepage, you will see a question mark icon/'Help' button in the top right corner of the screen. Click that.
From there, click on 'Help Articles'.
The page will then redirect to the Support Site. Click 'Contact Support', and choose 'Third-Party Integrations' as the subject.
Then select the "Chat with support' option.
In the chat, you will be able to tell Stripe who you are and what you are looking to do. Be sure to include your Stripe ID number, found under 'Settings' and then 'Account details', in your message. This will start the process on Stripe's end and they should send a follow-up email with further instructions on how to proceed. They should give further details regarding the encrypted file types that are accepted by Stripe as well. Once this step has been done you will want to reach out to request the PCI-complaint export from your current payment processor to be ready for Stripe to upload.
The file should be given directly to the Stripe representative that has been assigned to your project. If the previous processor sends any files directly to you, please give them to Stripe. Please do not forward any files with payment information to any of the FitHive Team.
The typical turnaround time can take a few weeks for the process to be complete, though this estimated timeline can be affected by factors such as timely responses from all parties involved. Please reach out to your assigned Onboarding Specialist when the export/import process has been fully completed.
