Prevent The Coronavirus From Disrupting Your Fitness Business

With the Coronavirus dominating the news we felt it fit to reach out to all of you. More and more events are being canceled around the world and concern over the virus seems to be growing daily (rightfully so or not). We deeply hope that there is no impact on your memberships and you can continue to thrive.

If you do come across a situation where a member is worried about coming to your facility due to the virus we want to remind you of the ability to create programs and nutrition directly from your Hive. If they would like to cancel or pause their membership you could offer an alternative to training in your space and provide them with an at-home program. You do not have to create a custom program for each member. You can simply create a single at-home program (and nutrition as an added bonus to hopefully retain them but not necessarily a must) and then add as many members as needed once the program is created. As always if you have any questions on how to offer this reach out to us at success@myfithive.com.

We also wanted to leave you with a few guidelines and precautions.

  • Set up a hand sanitizer station at the gym entrance
  • Encourage members to thoroughly wash hands upon entering the gym
  • Wipe down all equipment before and after using it
  • Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, and mouth)
  • Avoid eating or bringing food into the gym
  • Disinfect surfaces daily like doorknobs, handles, tables, restrooms, equipment, etc.
  • Increase ventilation into your gym
  • Encourage members who are feeling sick or have a sick family member to not join classes or workouts
  • Suggest to members who travel internationally to take a week off from the gym after returning

Thanks again for trusting FitHive for your gym.
